Steps to Reduce Virtual Disk Size (Performed in the Guest OS)
//在虚拟机执行的
1. Set minimum page file size to 15 MB.
2. Empty dllcache folder
a. run sfc.exe /cachesize=1
b. restart guest OS
c. run sfc.exe /purgecache
3. Empty %windir%\servicepack folder.
4. Empty %windir%\Driver Cache\i386 folder.
5. ClearPageFileAtShutdown(314834.KB.EN-US, 182086.KB.EN-US), restart.
6. If your guest OS is XP, turn off System Restore.
7. Defragment the disk, even if the Analysis says you don’t need to.
8. Shrink the disk using Control Panel -> VMWare Tools -> Shrink.
9. Shutdown guest.

10. Using NTFS compression, compress the .vmdk files.
