Ifyou are a registereduser of Windows Commander or Total Commander, youcan follow theseinstructions to update to the latest version of TotalCommander:
- Download version 7.03 from thisWWW site (follow links on homepage!)
- Unzip all files into an empty directory like c:\install . If you have downloaded a self-extracting archive, just run it.
- Run install.exe. (Automatic when installing from self-extracting archive)
- Install.exe will ask you for a destination directory. You should install to the same directory as the registeredversion.
- Install.exe will then install the new version to the selected directory.
- After the installation you can delete the files in the installationdirectory c:\install.
- Important: Version 5.50 and later have new filenames: totalcmd.exe for the 32-bit version, and total16.exefor the 16 bitversion. You should update your links in programmanager/explorer, to start the new version (if you used 2.11 or older).
- If your registration number is 9473 or earlier (seeinstallation disk), and you were using version 2.11 or older, you need a new registration key. If you already used version 3.x/4.x/5.x, you do not need a new key!
To get a new keyfor free by e-mail, send a message to newkey@ghisler.com with your registration number, name, address, and e-mail address. Please make surethat your e-mail address is correct!Fromtime to time I get e-mail from invalid addresses, so I cannotanswerthese mails! If you already received a new key for version 3.x,4.x or5.x, you do not needanother new key!
